Senior Business Analyst for Equity Cash Operations

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and understanding of project objectives. Your primary focus will be on enhancing business performance through insightful analysis and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the development and implementation phases by defining system scope and objectives for significant projects.
  • Identify potential risks and impacts, proposing effective mitigation strategies while considering the business implications of technological applications.
  • Collaborate with business clients to establish functional specifications and work alongside various management teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Assess new IT developments and evolving business needs, recommending system alternatives or enhancements based on thorough analysis of business processes and industry standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to identify problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic decisions.
  • Oversee daily staff management, including resource allocation, mentoring, and other assigned duties.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining the firm's reputation and safeguarding assets by managing control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis principles.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.

Job Overview:

Join the Global Cash Equities Low Touch team, collaborating with colleagues across various international locations. You will be responsible for leading business analysis and project management efforts for technology initiatives that support Cash Equities, Delta 1, and Derivatives businesses, impacting global operations.

This role presents an exciting opportunity within the Equities Technology group, where you will work closely with front-office teams to enhance the Cash Low Touch platform. Your contributions will be vital in achieving the ambitious growth plans set by the Equities business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analysis efforts for critical projects, focusing on strategic improvements and client needs.
  • Gather requirements in alignment with Citi standards, including scope definition and dependency mapping.
  • Manage project deliveries, including business discretionary and regulatory initiatives.
  • Facilitate project-related meetings and report on status, next steps, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Address day-to-day project challenges and prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Oversee project and program budgeting and assist with change management.
  • Ensure test case creation and clarity of release contents for the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in Business Analysis and Project Management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects involving process changes and technology enhancements.
  • Ability to navigate competing priorities in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Preferred experience in Equities front office, particularly Cash Equities.
  • Understanding of Pre-trade, Compliance, and Regulatory controls.
  • Familiarity with the full trade lifecycle and regulatory project delivery.
  • Exposure to Agile project management methodologies is advantageous.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a proactive approach to task prioritization. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
