About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy and light vehicles.
- Conducting diagnostic tests to identify and repair mechanical issues.
- Performing preventative maintenance on engines, including conventional and diesel engines.
- Repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on various equipment.
- Performing welding tasks, including MIG and TIG welding.
- Performing other related tasks as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A diploma in heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent.
- Experience in the heavy vehicle mechanics industry.
- Experience in bodywork and welding, with proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting and reading plans.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the role.
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Class D driver's license and a valid MOT card.
