Job Title: Vice President, Operations

Midland Transport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Operations to join our team. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for leading our operations and asset management functions, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods across our network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Lead the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet and facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage the procurement and sourcing of goods and services, ensuring value for money and compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational performance goals and address issues related to facilities, fleet planning, budget, and customer service
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in operations and asset management, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards
