Job Title: Technical Sales Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our team at Haver & Boecker Canada. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our industrial equipment and services to existing and potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of sales and orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Prepare sales or other contracts, negotiating terms and conditions to meet client needs.
  • Promote sales to existing clients, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to increase sales.
  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements, ensuring accurate quotes and delivery.
  • Identify and solicit potential clients, building relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services, providing solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service, showcasing our expertise and value proposition.
  • Deliver sales presentations, effectively communicating the features and benefits of our products and services.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates, ensuring transparency and fairness.
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs, ensuring a high level of customization and satisfaction.
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support, ensuring their needs are met and they are satisfied with our products and services.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the industrial equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of presentation software, word processing software, electronic mail, spreadsheet, database management, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to distinguish between colours and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
