Job Title: Supervisor, Carpenters

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Carpenters to join our team at MV Castillo Painting Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Supervisor, Carpenters will be responsible for overseeing a team of carpenters and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. This is a permanent position with a 35-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of carpenters and other construction personnel.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities, including preparing production and other reports.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training and development of team members.
  • Prepare bids and manage company operations.
  • Estimate costs and materials, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure the work site environment is safe and healthy for all personnel.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry.
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment:

The work environment will be outdoors, with potential exposure to noise and other hazards. The successful candidate will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
