Edgebanding Production Associate

Job Summary

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining edgebanding equipment to produce high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will have experience working with edgebanders and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edgebander Operation: Set up and operate edgebanders according to job specifications, adjusting feed speed, cutter heads, and pressure settings as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on edgebanders, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the edgebanding process to ensure finished products meet quality standards, inspecting for defects, proper edge alignment, and adherence of edgebanding material.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues with edgebanders during operation, making necessary adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines, optimizing machine settings and minimizing downtime for changeovers or maintenance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working on an edgebander or similar machine.
  • Manufacturing Background: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be organized and able to prioritize work activities based upon primary duties.
  • Initiative and Safety: Demonstrates good initiative working safely, reporting and participating in Environmental Health and Safety.
