SUMMARYThe Senior Application Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting software products and associated systems. In this capacity, the Senior Application Engineer will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to achieve customer support goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop expertise in one or more products while working independently.
- Handle customer support tasks; be prepared to address inquiries regarding tool functionality.
- Assess complaints related to product defects and identify root causes for Research & Development.
- Compose clear descriptions of product enhancement requests.
- Work diligently behind the scenes, focusing on tasks and taking guidance from a mentor to assist with evaluations, benchmarks, or demonstrations.
- Establish trust and respect among team members.
Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Familiarity with EDA tools concerning layout, Static Timing Analysis, Extraction-SPEF/DSPF, Spice, IC/ASIC design flow knowledge from RTL to GDSII, and custom circuit analysis & design, as well as knowledge of low power design methodologies. Proficiency in Python, Tcl, or any programming skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTechnical knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing digital, mixed-signal, and/or analog designs. Experience in developing methodologies for analyzing digital designs for voltage drop (EMIR) and reliability analyses. Background in large-scale commercial software support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel as necessary. Ability to learn swiftly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team. Dependable in completing work assignments efficiently and on schedule.
