Position Overview

Fraser Plastics Ltd is seeking a dedicated Welding Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to quality and precision in metal fabrication.

Job Details
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply welding process specifications effectively.
  • Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding machinery.
  • Read and comprehend welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Utilize manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment as required.
  • Handle brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Operate set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metals or fill imperfections.
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Work Environment
  • Repetitive tasks are expected.
  • The role is physically demanding, requiring stamina and strength.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for quality workmanship.
Weight Handling
  • Capable of handling weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Capable of handling weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Personal Attributes
  • Flexibility in work approach is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • A collaborative team player is preferred.
