Job Title: VP Specialty Casualty

Aviva Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP, Specialty Casualty to join our Corporate Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in expanding our presence in the Management Liability space, focusing on large, multinational, risk-managed accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your Management Liability expertise to launch and grow a profitable Management Liability portfolio.
  • Establish and build a full Management Liability product suite, including Directors' and Officers' Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Errors and Omissions on a primary and excess basis.
  • Lead the Management Liability team and represent Aviva at external meetings with brokers and clients to drive profitable growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Canadian brokerages and clients.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Risk Underwriting team to cross-sell and support customer-focused solutions.
  • Stay informed on technical issues relevant to the role and work with the Central Technical Unit to enhance wording, guidelines, referrals, pricing, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance.
  • Minimum 10+ years of underwriting experience in Management Solutions, including at a senior level, with a focus on large accounts.
  • Leadership experience, including building a portfolio.
  • Broad network of relationships with key Canadian brokerages and clients.
  • Additional professional qualifications related to Insurance or Finance are strongly recommended.
