About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Immigration Legal Assistant to join our team at Acumen Immigration Solutions Inc. As an Immigration Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team in preparing and processing immigration documents, coordinating with clients, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Preparation: Assist in preparing and processing immigration documents, including applications, petitions, and other legal documents.
  • Client Coordination: Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information, documents, and fees for immigration applications.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, document submissions, and application status.
  • Research and Data Entry: Conduct research on immigration laws and regulations, and enter data into our database to ensure accurate and timely processing of applications.
  • Correspondence and Communication: Prepare and send correspondence to clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • File Management: Maintain organized and secure filing systems for client documents and immigration applications.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, such as immigration, law, or administration.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Office, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
