Photonic Engineer (Low Noise Laser Systems)

Your Role and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join our Fault Tolerant Quantum Computing Devices team to develop and deploy the hardware required for our integrated photonic quantum computation platform. As a photonic engineer, you will design and build a new low noise laser system and use it to test new generations of our squeezed light sources.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • PhD in Optics, AMO, or a related field
  • Experience in photonic engineering, specifically working with low noise/phase locked/injection locked lasers
  • Strong understanding of photonics and electronics
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Understanding of narrow-linewidth lasers, phase stable frequency combs, optical interferometers, and high-bandwidth control loops
  • Experience with RF electro-optic tools and techniques
