We are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join our team at 9066-5720Québec inc.

Job Summary

The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that high-quality food and excellent customer service are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs
  • Hire and manage food service staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres to provide exceptional customer experiences
  • Supervise and inspect the assembly of trays to ensure presentation and quality standards are met
  • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards. The role requires standing for extended periods, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Personal Suitability

We are seeking a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, and able to take initiative in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. French language proficiency is required.
