Position Overview:
Department Insight: Our team of esteemed audit professionals collaborates with all sectors of the Bank to deliver strategic insights and independent oversight. Through meticulous due diligence and a strong commitment to integrity, we assist in mitigating potential risks to our operations. Our expertise spans all business areas within the bank, and we play a crucial role in maintaining TD's reputation for sound governance.
We are relied upon to offer recommendations that enhance operational efficiency at every level, promoting significant process improvements and ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations. Our approach involves data analysis, consultations with partners and stakeholders, and presenting our findings to address current and future risks, thereby ensuring smooth daily operations for our clients.
As a Senior Audit Group Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of audit professionals to oversee, plan, and execute intricate audits and projects across various business divisions.
- Providing strategic thought leadership and facilitating essential audit discussions with senior executives.
- Offering guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to ensure the achievement of operational results and personal growth objectives for the entire group.
- Acting as the primary audit advisor by delivering insights on emerging trends and issues to the senior leadership team, fostering meaningful enhancements.
- Identifying, mitigating, and reporting on risk issues in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring proper escalation procedures are followed.
- Ensuring that the devised strategy aligns with the overall audit strategy and is executed effectively.
- Formulating the annual divisional plan for the risk assessment process while leading audit engagement activities.
- Overseeing all activities, providing recommendations and decision support to leadership.
- Serving as a strategic advisor to leadership regarding portfolio and financial management.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to prioritize portfolios based on forecasting initiatives and demand.
- Leading the team in the development and cohesive implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes across multiple audit domains.
- Providing leadership in people management by overseeing the implementation and completion of performance management activities.
- Fostering a positive and diverse work environment where team members feel comfortable sharing their challenges.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree or pertinent professional certifications.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of AML/Sanctions program requirements.
- Expertise in external competition, industry, and market trends related to the functional area.
- Proficient in handling confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Strong skills in MS Office, analytical tools, and internet applications.
- Adept negotiator and decision-maker capable of influencing business leaders.
- A dynamic leader who excels in collaboration and effective communication.
