Athletic Facilities Supervisor

Reporting to the Recreation Facilities Coordinator, the Athletic Facilities Supervisor will be instrumental in the operational oversight and management of our Gymnasium and Arena during the varsity season and associated events. This role requires availability during evenings and weekends to provide essential support in our facilities, ensuring their effective operation and safety. Your contributions will be vital to the success of our sports teams, coaches, student-athletes, and spectators by upholding high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer service.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to assess and resolve complex situations through effective listening, consultation, and critical thinking.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential to support facility operations and events.
  • Understanding of facility management principles

Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in facility management, ideally in a sports or recreational context
  • CPR Level C & AED Certifications
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Training in Safe Spaces or EDI is an asset

Applicants with educational credentials obtained outside of Canada should have their qualifications evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration: $19.02– $24.74 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation pay. (Classification- Administrative Support II).

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
