Mccain Foods (Canada) is seeking a Temporary General Labourer to join our team in Grand Falls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform material handling tasks, lifting up to 25 kg.
  • Assist with cleaning and preparation of storage buildings and equipment.
  • Support the timely storage of potatoes.
  • Sort and rack potatoes.
  • Remove foreign material.
  • Install culverts in potato storages for ventilation.
  • Direct farm trucks for unloading.
  • Clean work areas.
  • Assist with light maintenance on equipment and storage buildings.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs).
  • Participate in team meetings as required.
  • Additional duties may include collecting and processing potato samples and recording quality information.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively with storage supervision and employees.
  • Excellent attendance and teamwork skills.
  • Continuous initiative and involvement.
  • Highly motivated, observant, and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to and embracing change.
