About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Kelvin Air Solutions Ltd. as a key member of our fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates, utilizing precision tools and equipment.
  • Operate metalworking machines, such as laser cutters, to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Develop computerized patterns and layouts to optimize fabrication efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment, ensuring proper installation and safety standards.
  • Fabricate and fit sheet metal parts, utilizing expertise in metalworking techniques and materials.
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, ensuring compliance and quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced fabrication setting.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically demanding work environment with regular exposure to noise and dust.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads, and work at heights.
  • Regular use of precision tools and equipment, including laser cutters and metalworking machines.

  • Organized and methodical approach to work, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
