Purpose

As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in supporting the sales, profitability, and operational goals of our store. You will guide our hourly associates in their day-to-day procedures to drive store objectives and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the daily operations of the store and activities of hourly associates to achieve excellent customer service and maximize sales.
  • Provide positive reinforcement to hourly associates to promote a high level of momentum and achieve optimal results and growth.
  • Conduct training presentations on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with staffing and labor cost control standards and maintain same.
  • Attain proficiency with the point of sale system and ensure integrity through attention to policy and procedure.
  • Complete sales transactions, monitor product levels, and communicate with management.
  • Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, and related store duties to maintain needed staff coverage and lead by example.
  • Direct the performance of store up-keeping duties and resolve customer complaints.
  • Use selling techniques to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must possess and consistently exhibit the competencies relative to the position.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and a point of sale system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays, and work overtime during peak sales periods.
Qualifications
  • Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to six months' retail experience is preferred.
