Job Title: Project Manager - Systems

Carmeuse is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Systems projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing projects according to scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project execution plans, communications plans, procurement plans, risk registers, schedules, budgets, and other necessary documents.
  • Coordinate all operational duties associated with project execution, including design, procurement, assembly, shipment, and site support.
  • Monitor and control project progress, including cost control, forecasting, schedule management, change management, and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure efficient workflows and mutually beneficial working relationships.
  • Generate project-based reports and status updates.
  • Take a proactive role in resolving problems and proposing solutions to improve service efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage project finances, including reviewing project budgets, controlling project costs, and tracking project invoices.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members to ensure they understand project details, deliverables, and customer expectations.
  • Manage project completion, acceptance, and closure processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the mining and industrial industry.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or technical science degree (Mechanical, Industrial, or Process engineering preferred).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Integrity, self-awareness, courage, respect, compassion, and resilience.
  • Learning agility and ability to influence while communicating the vision, showing gratitude, and collaborating effectively.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to read engineering documents, including process and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Methodical and logical approach to solving problems.
  • Experience executing projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong commercial understanding of engineering contracts and project management.
  • Analytical and detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate the team, recognize high performance, and encourage creativity and risk-taking.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project and MS Office.
Work Environment:
  • Typical hours: 37.5 hour work weeks with varying hours due to work requirements.
  • Travel is required.
