Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kautex, a subsidiary of Textron Inc. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment using the EAM system to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Perform facility repairs and housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Design and install new equipment and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including cranes and rigging, to move and position materials.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces to perform maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Millwright/Journeyman's Ticket or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a trade, with a focus on industrial maintenance.
  • Industrial Maintenance Mechanic college diploma or equivalent.
  • Machine shop tool operation experience, including metal lathes, vertical mills, drill presses, and chop saws.
  • Proven experience in certified welding, including ARC, MIG, and TIG.
  • Pneumatic circuit fabrication and troubleshooting experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with plastic material feed systems, including vacuum loaders and elutriation systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Crane/rigging experience.
  • Basic knowledge of large material grinders and operations.
