Job Title: Steward Helper

As a Steward Helper at Fairmont Palliser, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional, friendly, and proactive service to all guests and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to Health & Safety standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Complete temperature records accurately and honestly.
  • Deliver a clean and sanitary work area and equipment in all Food & Beverage areas.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties of all F&B back spaces and equipment.
  • Operate main dishwashers and restock equipment in all Food and Beverage areas.
  • Maintain proper recycling and composting procedures.
  • Assist the Kitchen team with food service delivery as needed.
  • Have good knowledge of WHIMIS.
  • Maintain awareness of sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork between Stewarding and all other departments.
  • Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accountability.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of previous experience in a similar position in Food and Beverage operations.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • A strong capacity to work with and motivate a culturally diverse workforce.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume Kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, out-going, team-player.
