Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and finish drywall in accordance with blueprints and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply coats of plaster to achieve a smooth finish
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work at heights, in cold and hot temperatures, and in dusty and noisy environments
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
