Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Manager to join our team at White Cliffe Terrace. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the home, ensuring that we meet our financial, occupancy, and service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve occupancy goals and improve resident satisfaction.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care and services.
  • Manage the home's budget and financial resources, ensuring that we are operating within our means and making the most of our resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and the community, promoting the home's services and reputation.
  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements and standards are met, including those related to health and safety, quality of care, and resident rights.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve our goals and objectives, ensuring that we are working together to provide the best possible care and services.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in health care administration, long-term care, or hotel management, with a proven track record in the hospitality or retirement industry.
  • Food Handler and Smart Serve Certifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the budget process, profit and loss statements, and control of expenses and costs.
  • Exceptional English communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
