Job Summary:

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard to join our team at the Edmonton City Centre. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to maintain a secure and safe environment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to security alarms and emergencies.
  • Conduct proactive patrols to identify and address potential security risks.
  • De-escalate crisis situations and provide support to emergency personnel as needed.
  • Exercise crowd control and remove unauthorized individuals from the premises.
  • Prepare clear and detailed reports on incidents, emergencies, and daily activities.
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required.
  • Utilize communication devices and computer applications to coordinate site activities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong observational and active listening skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs.
