About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) plays a vital role within the Nursing team. This position involves providing essential care and support to residents, administering medication, and assisting in the nursing process by observing and reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being. We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude who are passionate about working with seniors.
Responsibilities
- Delivering personalized care to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Administering medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Observing residents for any changes in their condition and reporting them to the nursing team.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
Qualifications
- A Personal Support Worker certificate from an accredited Ontario Community College or Registered Private College is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of providing person-centered care in accordance with established standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors.
