Job Title: Strategic Transportation Planning Manager

Join the City of Kelowna team as a Strategic Transportation Planning Manager, responsible for leading the development of transportation plans and policies that promote sustainable and equitable mobility for all residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement transportation plans and policies that align with the City's strategic vision and goals.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of transportation projects and initiatives, including the development of transportation master plans and service plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community groups, local governments, and transportation agencies, to ensure that transportation plans and policies meet the needs of all users.
  • Manage and analyze transportation data to inform planning and policy decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with transportation agencies, including MOTI and BC Transit, to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a related field, such as transportation planning, urban planning, or engineering.
  • Experience in transportation planning and policy development, with a focus on sustainable and equitable mobility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.
