Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and other quarterly reports. This will include preparation and review of certain month-end close processes, accounting memos, financial planning and analysis, as well as process improvement and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and audit committee presentation, coordinating with external audit firm in quarterly review and year-end audits.
  • Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly closing tasks and analysis.
  • Participation in the preparation of quarterly tax provisions and ad hoc tax projects.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and assistance with working capital management.
  • Researching, documenting, and reviewing the Company's accounting policies in accordance with IFRS, including writing accounting memos for complex transactions.
  • Assistance in other special projects, such as financing, supporting the external auditors, systems integrations/automations, ad hoc reporting requirements, and SOX requirements.
Requirements
  • CPA designation.
  • 7+ years of experience involving the preparation of IFRS financial statements for a public company; Big Four experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite user (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Excellent written English skills for the preparation of financial statements and management discussion and analysis.
  • Bilingual (English and French).

  • Team player that is also able to work independently and work well with others.
  • Flexible and adaptable; experience working in a dynamic environment would be an asset.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics, Workiva, and Jet Reports would be an asset).
