Android Developer Job Description

Are you passionate about building innovative mobile applications for the Android platform?

We're seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team at Scotiabank. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mobile applications using Java, RxJava, Retrofit, OkHttp, Dagger, JUnit, and Espresso.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop native Android applications with a strong understanding of design patterns such as MVP and MVVM.
  • Implement unit testing and integration testing to ensure robustness, usability, and performance of the application.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features and requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Proficient understanding of Android development principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
