We are seeking a skilled Lab Patient Technician to join our team in Newmarket, ON. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in patient care and our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and interact with patients, ensuring they understand the specimen collection process and follow necessary test protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, including medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials.
  • Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, and follow up on requests.
  • Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other relevant data into our system.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient privacy.
