We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Human Resources Manager for Sawmill Operations. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a pivotal change agent, providing guidance and support for Human Resources and Labour Relations management at the Sawmill.
  • Assist Operations Management and Supervisory teams with Labour Relations matters.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process for the Sawmill.
  • Lead the development of related policies, procedures, and certification programs.
  • Manage all staffing and scheduling concerns for the Sawmill.
  • Support operations with progressive work systems and Labour contract management.
  • Conduct research and provide assistance in grievance resolution.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate communication.
  • Facilitate employee training and development programs, including support for disability management and return-to-work initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Exceptional project and time management abilities with a knack for prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitation and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislation.
