Job Description

Job Summary

The Assistant Chief Engineer - Technical Operations will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's technical systems and facilities. This includes overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing the technical service workshops and storage houses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Manage the technical service workshops and storage houses
  • Prepare and implement the expenditure budget for technical operations
  • Coordinate with the Safety Manager to protect the hotel and defend it against fires and natural disasters
  • Train employees in safety procedures and protocols
  • Prepare the daily and weekly work schedules for the Technical Service Department
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in preparing the maintenance and repairs programmed
  • Establish good communication with subcontractors and departmental employees
  • Prepare inventory lists of departmental spare parts, tools, and supplies
  • Consult and inform the Chief Engineer on all issues deemed necessary
  • Inspect the hotel building and surroundings to ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience or 2 years of work experience in a lower position with experience in applying main principles and/or different methods
  • Intermediate level English language proficiency
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications and automation knowledge
  • Good command and monitoring of technical developments and practices
  • Ability to offer consulting to other employees when needed
  • Responsibility for carrying out and coordinating complex activities in different fields
