Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician III to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Conduct structured inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure facility uptime objectives are met.
  • Respond to service requests and perform corrective maintenance as needed.
  • Monitor facility systems and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with corporate and legislated policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
  • Minimum 3 years experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment.
  • Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset.
  • Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Systems.
  • Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Mentoring skills required to support lower level technician's development.
