Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator provides critical support to the Main Operating Base by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts receiving, issuing, shipping, and non-technical inspection of all materials to ensure safe storage and compliance with regulations.
  • Trained and qualified to conduct Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and maintains a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Carries out waste product disposal for POL and other items, and conducts stocking taking and completes stocktaking evaluation.
  • Completes various reports and data, and conducts sub contracting with approved vendors and local purchasing.
  • Prepares material transaction vouchers and other logistics documentation, and maintains accurate records and detailed register entries.
  • Operates trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment, and completes aircraft maintenance documentation for the electronic record keeping system (ERKS).
  • Deploys and works at other main operating bases and/or remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights, and works shift work as required.
  • Provides on-job-training to other employees, including task supervision, and attends training for trade and professional development.
  • Removes all debris accumulated by tasks performed and maintains a clean, safe work area, and conducts foreign object debris (FOD) inspections.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of material control and warehousing operations, Stores operations, shelf life, stock taking, shipping and receiving, HazMat, POL disposal, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
  • Ability to use standard computer systems and specialized computer systems applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) procedures, as it pertains to Stores.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performances of assigned duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Minimum education level of grade 12 or equivalent and related training and experience in material control warehousing.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in material control and warehousing operations is required.
