Canus Logistics Inc. is seeking a dedicated Commercial Truck Operator to join our team. This role involves the transportation of goods across various routes while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Interaction: Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
- Travel Coordination: Organize travel itineraries and make necessary reservations.
- Team Driving: Collaborate with a partner in a two-person driving team or convoy.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate lighter, specialized trucks for various transport needs.
- Loading and Unloading: Manage the loading and unloading of cargo efficiently.
- Documentation: Acquire necessary permits and documents for international transport.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, and brakes.
- Financial Transactions: Handle payments for goods and services.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
- Safety Protocols: Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.
- Hazardous Materials: Transport and manage dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.
- Licensing: Must possess an AZ class license and a valid driver's license.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Work Environment: Prepare for a large workload with potential overtime and repetitive tasks.
No prior experience is required as training will be provided. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 40 to 60 hours per week, primarily in English.
