Position Overview

The Rehabilitation Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing patient care and ensuring effective treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct preliminary evaluations to assess patient needs and document rehabilitation progress.
  • Assistance in Treatment: Implement treatment plans as directed by licensed therapists, focusing on rehabilitation for individuals with injuries or disabilities.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and maintain therapeutic equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient files and paperwork efficiently to support overall clinic operations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid license from a provincial or territorial regulatory body for Hearing Instrument Practitioners.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with a minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The primary language of communication within the workplace is English.
