About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at ARAMARK Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our campus dining hall.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of the campus dining hall, ensuring high-quality food service and exceptional customer experience.
  • Lead a team of unionized supervisors and food service associates, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve food safety, sanitation, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute menu development, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
  • Manage staff scheduling, time-off requests, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to launch new menu items, promotions, and events.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or Food and Beverage Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced operation.
  • Proven track record of managing within a unionized setting.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety, food handling, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to direct teams in daily operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
