The City of Laval is seeking a dedicated Workplace Hygiene Technician to contribute to a safe and healthy work environment for its employees.

As part of the Human Resources Department, you will play a vital role in implementing and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical tasks aimed at preventing workplace hazards and promoting employee well-being.

  • Conduct Thorough Workplace Assessments: Analyze workstations and tasks to identify potential risks and implement effective hazard control measures, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor Environmental Conditions: Participate in environmental monitoring programs to detect potential health and safety hazards, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Utilize Specialized Equipment: Conduct tests using appropriate equipment to assess workplace conditions and identify potential risks.
  • Ensure Respiratory Protection Compliance: Perform respiratory protection fit tests to ensure the proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

The ideal candidate will possess a college diploma in environmental technology or occupational health and safety, along with relevant experience. A valid driver's license is required.
