Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Public Health team at Pacific Spirit in Vancouver, BC. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize public health nursing knowledge and expertise to develop and implement health promotion programs and services.
  • Provide education and support to individuals and communities on health-related topics, including disease prevention and management.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to identify and address health needs and priorities.
  • Conduct health assessments and provide referrals to community resources as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote health and well-being.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of specialty nursing certificate/certified practice (BCCNM) as applicable and two (2) years' recent, related public health nursing experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a 20-hour breastfeeding certificate, the BCCDC Immunization certificate, and experience working with the 0 to 5 population.
