Daily Activities Overview

Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including proposal experts, sales personnel, engineering specialists, and external partners, to gather essential information for proposal creation.
  • Evaluate client specifications and RFP documents to gain a clear understanding of project goals and requirements.
  • Direct and facilitate the formulation of the team's strategic approach to securing projects.
  • Craft detailed and technically sound proposals that meet client expectations and align with organizational strengths.
  • Ensure all proposals adhere to industry standards and client specifications.

Content Development

  • Work alongside technical teams to produce clear and compelling technical documents that showcase our transportation solutions and methodologies.
  • Assess discipline-specific scopes of work to identify any gaps or overlaps in project plans.
  • Supervise the assembly of general proposal content to align with client specifications, including company details, project management strategies, and team qualifications.
  • Oversee the creation of visuals, charts, and graphics to enhance the proposal's appeal and clarity.
  • Customize proposals to meet unique client needs and reflect current industry trends.

Proposal Submission Management

  • Oversee proposal timelines, ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals.
  • Coordinate with team members to collect information and integrate feedback into proposal drafts.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Support Team to maintain an up-to-date and high-quality proposal content library.
  • Conduct quality assurance by reviewing and editing proposal content for precision and clarity.
  • Perform thorough quality checks to eliminate errors and ensure a polished final submission.

Research and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transportation.
  • Partner with business development teams to refine proposal development processes and templates.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills for Success

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the transportation engineering sector, with a focus on delivering engineering projects.
  • Proven expertise as a Technical Writer, particularly in crafting proposals within the transportation or logistics sectors.

  • Familiarity with the Canadian transportation landscape, including alternative contract delivery models.
