Job Title: Thrift Store Sales Associate

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Thrift Store Sales Associate to join our team. As a Thrift Store Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and debit transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including sorting and pricing donated items, and restocking shelves.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 months of prior retail experience, preferably in a sales or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, with a varied schedule including weekdays and Saturdays.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks is required.
