About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Quality Modeler to lead and direct water quality modelling and assessment work in the Canadian mining sector. This position is based in western Canada, with the option to work from one of our Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee staff working on large-scale projects, including interactions with other disciplines
  • Develop and review proposed scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for water quality and environmental assessment projects
  • Manage and analyze measured and modelled data, providing oversight and quality control for data collection, management, and analysis
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior and intermediate staff to develop their skill sets
  • Actively promote a culture of health and safety
  • Take an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships and business development opportunities
Requirements
  • University degree (M.Sc. or higher preferred) in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent in water quality modelling
  • Proven experience in managing teams and delivering work products in a timely fashion, ideally within a consulting environment
  • Previous experience in dealing with regulatory processes
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management and technical skills
