Design Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Systems Engineer to join our team at TOOGANN TECHNOLOGIES. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing system interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems of the EDM gearbox.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the integration and system balancing of all EDM gearbox components
- Interface with individual Design Release Engineers and COEs
- Manage manufacturing, suppliers, and development validation center interactions
- Organize system design reviews and ensure completion of virtual DVP and scorecard
- Manage Driveline System and Interface DFMEA/DRBFM reviews
- Support Chief Engineer and ACE in developing FTE and ER&D/ED&D cost roll-ups
- Review and approve change notices, ensuring checklists, LL, and E-BPs are updated and aligned
- Lead Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) and Value Optimization (VO) efforts
- Represent Chief Engineer in managing "lessons learned" documents and ensuring TS updates
- Review driveline system and component validation completion status with DVC team
- Coordinate DRBTR review and manage follow-up items and GIMS decisions
- Manage CQI and GIMS cross-functional task force teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent engineering field
- 0-3 years of engineering experience
- General knowledge of EDM Gearboxes, Drivelines, Axles, or Transmission Systems and interface requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting complex material to various audiences
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution
- Ability to work under pressure and in a time-constrained environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing work assignments
- 5 years of engineering experience in driveline, axles, transmission, electrified driveline systems, or powertrain systems engineering
- Gearbox, Driveline, or Axle Design Release Responsibility
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent engineering field
- Supervisory or leadership of small team experience
- General knowledge and experience of powertrain duty cycle analysis
- Ability to manage high volume of part/system complexity
- Knowledge in powertrain product development processes
- Knowledge in application of Functional Block Diagrams, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R)
- Green/black belt in Shainin or DFSS desirable
- Experience with electric motors for automotive applications
- Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to successful conclusion
- System Level Thinker - The ability to understand how different powertrain components and systems are interdependent
- Excellent presentation skills
