Senior Systems Safety Engineer

CS GROUP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our System Safety team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with Hardware and Software Development Teams to design, develop, and deploy systems that enable and support autonomous driving. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that systems are developed through a process that ensures end-to-end traceability and meets both system safety objectives and product requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct safety analyses, including HARAs, FTAs, FMEAs, and FMEDAs, to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Develop functional safety and technical safety concepts for vehicle motion control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal hardware/software engineers to ensure system requirements and desired functionality are achieved.
- Implement systems engineering processes, including cross-functional reviews of requirements and test cases.
- Support the development of test plans, test cases, black box integration testing, and issue resolution.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
- Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP).
- Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
- Experience with at least one of these standards: ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
