Ambulance Readiness Technician

At PHSA, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes for British Columbians. As an Ambulance Readiness Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the readiness of our ambulances and medical equipment to respond to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sanitize and process critical medical equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Restock supplies on ambulances and maintain stockroom and work areas to maximize resource availability.
  • Perform and document vehicle checks to ensure ambulances are safe and ready for use.
  • Receive and unpack incoming inventory, checking for discrepancies and reporting to supervisor.
  • Assist with inventory checking and data input into computerized systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
  • Previous experience with cleaning equipment, tools, and protocols, including deep cleaning and decontamination.
