Job Title: Social Worker I

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker I to join our team at PHSA. As a Social Worker I, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans to address the unique needs of our clients.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to promote emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and community partners to promote a culture of care and respect.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based treatments to ensure the highest quality care for our clients.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience working in a healthcare setting with individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use issues, as well as trauma-informed practice and Indigenous cultural safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
