Fire Alarm Technician Job Description

Jump Recruitment Specialists is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, programming, and servicing fire alarm and fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Modify and upgrade fire alarm systems as needed to ensure they remain effective.
  • Program and configure fire alarm systems to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems to resolve issues and ensure continuity of service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in fire alarm system installation, inspection, and maintenance.
  • College/trade level education in Electronics or Fire Protection Technology.
  • Applicable fire service certifications, jurisdictional regulatory permits, and/or valid CFAA and ASTTBC.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with fire alarm system design and installation.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm system codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
