About the Job

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Garfield's Heating and Air Conditioning Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems. This includes assembling and installing refrigeration or air conditioning components, measuring, cutting, and connecting piping using welding and brazing equipment, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
  • Provide customer service
  • Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
  • Perform maintenance such as recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system
  • Interpret gas codes
  • Handle, recover, and store refrigerants
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
Requirements
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Working at heights training
  • Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
