Position Overview: We are seeking motivated performance engineers to become part of our expanding team responsible for the performance, scalability, and dependability of the XRPL network. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, scientists, DevOps professionals, and other team members to acquire an in-depth understanding of software architecture, use cases, and data flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with various teams to gather performance requirements and forecast load metrics.
  • Participate in the complete software release lifecycle, from design and development to product deployment.
  • Design performance testing load models and create relevant test data to accurately simulate load conditions in a lab setting.
  • Develop comprehensive load simulators and essential tools necessary for setup and testing.
  • Conduct iterative performance evaluations, code profiling, and thorough tuning across all levels, including operating systems, networks, software, and databases.
  • Create performance monitoring dashboards or tools for effective oversight during testing phases.
  • Collect and analyze test results, generating detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to ensure product readiness for production environments.
  • Continuously enhance our engineering standards by proactively identifying potential issues that may impact product performance or reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux shell environments, networking, web protocols, and database operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering, including load development using Apache JMeter or similar tools.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in the software industry.
  • Proficiency in at least one Object-Oriented programming language, with a strong understanding of operating systems, networking, parallel programming, and web technologies.
  • Experience in a Linux/Unix shell environment and programming.
