Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain supply chain metrics for freight transport, logistics, and warehousing business segments.
  • Prepare and analyze financial dashboards, including key performance indicators (KPIs) against financial results and forecasts.
  • Present findings to the finance department and operations management team and make recommendations.
  • Provide monthly reporting on key performance measures, such as cost center spending, capital expenditures, customer volumes, lane mileage, and regional mileage.
  • Review equipment productivity and conduct monthly reviews.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with cost centers and complete thorough allocation of revenue and costs.
  • Review, analyze, and update standards and key figures in the ERP system on a regular basis.
  • Analyze customer pricing against cost benchmarks for various lanes and regions.
  • Prepare audit schedules as assigned and answer questions and research as requested by auditors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • At least 5-7 years of related experience in accounting or finance is required.
  • Previous experience working on Sage300 is an asset.
  • Tableau/PowerBI is an asset, but strong Excel skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of combined financial statement presentation, SOX, financial analysis, excellent communication skills, and time management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Business acumen: able to explain the story behind the numbers.
