Job Title: Airport Security Officer

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Security Officer to join our team at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all passengers, workers, and flight personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the Primary Security Line (PSL) at various gates and access points to ensure only authorized individuals have access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular patrols of airport facilities to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Respond to emergency situations and act as incident commander until relieved by first responders.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to detect, respond, and manage emergencies.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to pass a security clearance and hold a RAIC.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and overnight shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
