About the Role
Nabors is seeking a skilled Journeyman Millwright/Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Nisku facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diversified tasks relating to the repair of all Canrig equipment, including Top Drives, TM 80/120 Wrenches, and Power Catwalks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform equipment repairs, including inspection, teardown, repair, and reassembly of Top Drives, TM-80, and Power Catwalks.
- Complete in-house cleaning and dry ice blasting of parts and components.
- Maintain all facility equipment and tools.
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks on facility equipment.
- Ensure shop cleanliness and provide assistance in other areas of the facility as needed.
- Perform advanced hydraulic and mechanical assembly and troubleshooting tasks.
- Operate and test equipment for performance and ensure completed work meets specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues from manuals and schematics.
- Maintain clear and consistent records of all service activities and parts usage.
- Evaluate and document preventative maintenance opportunities.
- Provide superior customer service and problem resolution.
- Adhere to Canrig's safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Stay current on technical training and industry regulations.
- Train and mentor Apprentice Millwright/Mechanics.
Requirements
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Journeyman Millwright Certificate.
- 2-3 years' experience in the industrial field.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Electrical controls experience considered an asset.
- Oilfield experience is an asset.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Mechanically inclined and experience operating shop equipment.
